I came up with this saying the other week, and people have reported to me that they’ve started using it.
When doing a search for it on Google, (in quotes mind you), there’s 2 pages of results.. most of them are retweets of my post (which I wrote from the elipticals at the gym)
I did however find it on this archived post from December of 2007 (Google showed that it was posted on December 16, which is my birthday. Though, it seems it was posted slightly later) – She says
“P.S. – I’m doing like a million things at a time right now, (which is why I’m slow in posting) and my boyfriend just told me that I have to make like a Ford and Focus. Ew, that’s cause for breakup right there. But only after the holidays.”
Since I don’t know who her boy friend is, I’m still claiming the saying! Though, clearly, I’m not the VERY 1st person in history to say it. Spread it around though! next time someone’s being unfocused, adhd, scattered, spazzy — tell them to Make like a ford, and focus!
I like this. Focused intensity over time = success <---something like that was in the NO BS guide for entrepreneurs by dan kennedy and it reminds me of this. I used to have TERRIBLE focus. Thanks for the reminder dude
