I love that some abused lady can make billions, all while encouraging kids to read (although- statistically, most people are wrong– Harry Potter series has not really helped the literacy rate of the world.. it’s actually a bit down from 50 years ago). I, like most people, enjoy Fantasy… stories of Dragons and Magic… I even had a concept for a sci-fi story of a couch surfer that can travel dimensions. Regardless… Harry Potter is a licensing empire that has entertained millions. Like all items that make it onto our radar, it gets spoofed with porn movies that take its name, stoner jokes, and bad Halloween Costumes…. even a robot chicken skit that mentions it:

This one however has something I haven’t seen before (until Burning Man). I was at Bad Ideas Theatre, freezing, in my underwear, just after sunrise, in the middle of the desert…. I just needed to quench my thirst, and these guys had a ton of ice-cold hunch-punch! They had a screen, and on it was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone… but the audio was not quite right… in fact, it was better than right! It was riotous! Someone has gone and created an alternate soundtrack! You too can have this at home! Just grab the movie, and then go to Illegal-Art and grab the alternate soundtrack. It’s titled Wizard People, Dear Reader.
