I’m sort of feeling like a dick (more than usual) as I’m having to blow off more people than usual for… well.. anything!  I’ve got exciting news about 2009, and I have to sacrifice in order to make them happen! For starters, I’m getting back on the road…

Yup!  2009 is my long awaited return to CouchSurfing full time (I had many small trips this year to Florida, Georgia, and North & South Carolina).   I will be traveling and consulting this year (as compared to just having fun and taking cool photos).   Offering product photography, corporate headshots, corporate websites, getting the sites to the front of Google (like I did for GroundIndustries Mountainboards- new site and a new store, as well as getting them on page 1 of Google for all their desired keywords), and more… (this is a blog post to tell you what’s new, not to list all my services)… to those that I CouchSurf with, and those that want to meet me along the way.

I’m getting a new camera, so I can shoot High-Def video (yeah.. I know the $200 cameras now offer HD, but the glass on them sucks… especially compared to the $2,000 lenses I have), and I’m also going to surf with CEOs that people can learn from… for example, I’ve already gotten the green light from Tony Hsieh… CEO of Zappos.com. If you’re not familiar with them, they have the best customer service… period!  Free shipping both ways, 365 day return policy, operators that will help you out regardless of how long you take… People can definitely leran from that!

I’m organizing.  That’s huge!  I”m also going to hit up all the stops for the Campus Railjam tour to take photos and videos for a client of mine.  So… I am basing my Couch Surfing schedule based on that schedule (for the 1st half of ’09).

So… yeah… getting all that ready is taking a bit of “less life than usual” – although I did have a guest stay with me for a few days this weekend, which I spent some time with to watch some movies.
