My buddy, Riplee, is at the end of his rope. I’ve known him since 1997, and I’ve always told everyone “That guy has more 3d talent in his little pinky than I have in my whole body!” (and people say I’m decent at 3d). I’ve hired him for projects before for my clients, and I’ve used some of his 3d in my images. Riplee is currently out in Vegas, and is not doing so well. His girlfriend has a lot of pain due to a medical condition they can’t afford to treat, his power was out the other day, but they got that taken care of, he is buying food at the dollar store, and when I spoke to him last night, he only had one tank of gas left in his car. They are behind on the rent. His internet is off. I’m an optimist, and I’ve heard lots of stuff like this in the past, but where I drew the line, and paypal’ed him some money last night is when I heard about Cody. His little girl has an exposed nerve, and they took her to the wellfare dentist, since they can’t afford a real one. The dentist said there is no reason to remove the tooth, but she needs a root canal… antibiotics will help for right now. They didn’t have enough for the antibiotics, and the tooth was going to come out today! Needless to say, Cody was very sad about having to lose her tooth. I had called him up about a project I thought he may be able to work on, and I’m glad I called, because now I have saved Cody’s tooth! I sent him enough for antibiotics and a tank of gas. If you’d like to send him a donation to assist with a root canal, gas, food, rent, or anything like that, it’d be appreciated…. but.. I’m not necessarily asking for charity. Most people think they don’t need, or can’t afford 3d. Call him, tell him what you’d like, and I think you’ll find he can do it at a price you can certainly afford. I am currently setting him up with a Mountain Boarding company to do some of their board graphics. His stuff has been used for video games, websites, clothes, skateboards, and much more!
