Where in the world is Couch Surfing Ori? That’s what the text message often says. Joe of Couch 56 sends it every month, sometimes more frequently. His wife recently took to Couch Surfing, and was even my 1st guest at my new place. So… based on the fact that you know my definition of adventure as doing new things that you haven’t done before…..I’m now having a new adventure, which is moving into a place that I bought. Also, moving in with a girl (have spent much time with people, but never lived together 100%) that I met on my adventures (Couch 44 is now living with me here), as well as starting a business from scratch! I never realized it, but I’ve never really advertised! I’ve had people approach me by word-of-mouth (and that’s still happening), but now I have to decide a most difficult thing… what do I want to do? I actually have the answers
Thankfully, the whole time I was driving around the country, I was studying business and marketing. I’m very passionate about Marketing. I even studied some of the best in Search Engine Optimization (Notice how my entries are the 1st and 2nd on Google for Independent Lady Magazine ), as well as regular marketing, direct mail, copy writing….. I also have a lot of talent with Photography & Design. I even have a serious talent for teaching… Now, what is it that I’m going to do? Take a guess! I’m not telling just yet!
Whatever it is though… I want to make sure I can keep Couch Surfing! I really enjoyed meeting new people, being immersed in their lives, and having all these new experiences (and things to photograph!). Crystal of Couch 56 came and Couch Surfed with me. I thought that was really cool. We went to a bar, drank a little, played video games (at Andretti’s — and my Dance Dance Revolution skills really improved), and Karaoke (which got Angela invited to a Karaoke contest, that she won, and now in the finals for a $700 Karaoke grand prize!). She has her own blog. We went out for some Bison burgers (burgers made from Buffalo… they’re way healthier for you, and pretty darn tasty too!), and that was fun… but yesterday she messages me that she’s driving through Wyoming, and saw some Buffalo. I told her not to tell them that she’s eaten their cousin… then I said “Wow… wish I was out doing what you’re doing” which is what I always get told. So… she said what I always say to everyone, “You can live vicariously through me!”
It’s like that whole Circle of life thing from the Lion King.

She’s a really cool girl– has amazing taste in music, makes these incredible pudding shots, a great chef, liked by everyone, people skills out the wazoo, smart, and obviously brave and life-loving… as she’s now CouchSurfing. I sent her up to meet Couch 58 actually… they had fun… although it was too cold for him to take her rock climbing!
