Seriously! I got on the scale, and thought “This can’t be right!” So I asked Suzanne, “Are you sure your scale is working properly? Maybe it’s not zero’ed properly?” Walk to the bathroom “Nope… works fine. *sigh* looks like I gained two pounds. Why do you ask?” “Ummm… Can you read what it says?” I step on the scale, and Sue says “195 pounds.” “Ummm… so.. you’re confirming that I lost 20 pounds in 7 days!”
I was more than happy. My reflection looked happy to see me. I still have a ways to go to get where I want, but I definitely let myself go. I had gotten up to 215, and it wasn’t solid muscle, like back in 2000 when I weighted that much, and worked out twice a day. I’m journaling everything, so that I’ll know what I did, and be able to help others who want similar results.
I got on this 30 day raw food challenge with my friends Craig & Suzanne… we’re traveling together for a while. They’re really into the raw food world. So… it’s been easier than I would’ve thought. It’s not even all salads! I’m on day 11 now. 19 days left, and then I’m off to the World Championships of BBQ. That’s some contrast.. I may even skip it, in honor of my health. Though.. I do love me some bbq. My stomach’s been shrinking too– last night I was full after 2.5 handfulls of almonds.
I'm a little worried about you bro! I've heard it can be dangerous to lose that much that fast, take care brother!
Thanks bro! I thought the same thing! I mean... 20 pounds in a week doesn't sound natural or safe... But I wasn't doing anything crazy- not even really exercising, not dehydrating, and definintely no weird supliments or pills or fat burners. After that it's been much slower. The next week I only lost 5 pounds, and the next week I hardly lost anything. I've lost inches though, and I feel great, and am happy with the way I'm looking. Less than a week left!
