Wednesday was Halloween. I was going to meet up with my buddy Dave from south Florida. I met him at Ultra 2003 in South Beach, and then in 2005 he moved to NY. A lot’s changed for us both. I took the subway, and walked. I brought my caveman outfit. I got to Dave’s place, and the doorman said he already left. I was slightly infuriated, as I don’t like people wasting my time. At least there was a big parade that I could catch. Here are the photos from that:

New York is a fun area to walk during Halloween. Lots of people go all out, and a majority of people were in costume. The architecture is pretty neat, and I even caught a great shot of this gorgeous church at light. Definitely felt appropriate for Halloween. Dave called me on my way to the parade, saying he went a few blocks away to this party to wait for me, and he missed my call. I went solo, and agreed to meet him at the party after I shoot a few snaps at the parade. At 1st I was taking pictures by holding my camera up in the air, and hoping the autofocus is going to know what I want. After a while I just asked some people if I can get in front of them, and that I’d crouch. It worked. The photos are above.
After that, I met up with them (Dave and Carmen) at a party. It was so packed, loud, and insane! This was like something out of the movies! It was on the 2nd story of this building. There was a line out the door to get in! I thought the place was a club because it had so many people. We swam against the stream, made it to the bar, grabbed a drink (and some candy), and walked outside the party to chat and catch up. It was fun rehashing everything I’ve done this year. After a while, we left and got some falafel. The funny thing is that there’s a falafel joint on every 4th or 7th store! By now I’m an expert on using the subway.
