WOW! I’m learning soooo much. I already had a bunch of great ideas, but now I’m getting to learn some ideas I want to try. If nothing else, seeing multi-multi-millionaires, and some Billionaires tell their life stories is very inspiring. T. Harv Ecker has a wonderful stage presence, despite that I’ve already heard much of his content on various audio books, a seminar atmosphere is charged with a lot more energy. Bill Bartman is quite an amazing human, and impressive to watch and listen to.
The other great thing about an event like this (which I am at until the 10th), is that you get to network. There are 1200 people here. One gentleman that I ran into, whom I met at a January seminar, was told of my Outside The Box workshop, and what a success it was. He suggested I teach a workshop here in Orlando during the seminar. I concurred that it would be a good idea, but while the workshop is from 9am-11pm each day, I’ve been staying up past 4am each morning, prepping this seminar- flyers… finding a model, etc…
I will be eating caffeine pills tomorrow, I suppose. But the flyer is great, and will definitely get attention. It’s 4:15am, and I’m still at Kinkos, I’ll get to leave shortly, but have to wake up shortly to go to the seminar. Kinkos by the way is extremely expensive, but the lady assisting me knows her stuff, and is very friendly.
I’ve met a ton of cool people, and I’ve had to replenish my business cards at the Networking Table. One lady, Lori is from West Palm Beach… my next couch is in the same area code
Her products are Distinctive, Delicious, All-Natural Gourmet Cookies — which are her recipe, and quite yummy. I like the name of the company, and knew they would be healthy just from the name: Zen Rabbit (ZenRabbitBC.com)
That Billionaire, Bill Bartman, was simply inspiring… he has such a charisma to him, and has done so much for his company… So, I went up to him – after a very long wait to get to him – and chatted for a minute, and gave him my card. I did not have the balls to ask him if I could CouchSurf there.
If you’re checking this out Bill– I’d love to interview you on your couch if you get a don’t mind. I promise you a wonderful and unique family portrait in return. Meanwhile, check out My Portfolio.

Hey M. N. --
Well... When I went to GBS, that was in 2007. I was (am) a freelancer. I think that learning new skills is always useful, and so is meeting people. I still stand by comments that it was life changing. I can't remember all the things that I learned at GBS... nor all the people.... but GBS is the reason that I discovered Internet Marketing, which has brought me much joy over the last many years. Some people refer to that kind of a thing as "A pitchfest" (where each speaker sells you their product) -- but if I hadn't bought that product that day from Armand Morin, then my life would be completely different.
Do you need a business to go? Hmmmm... no. You'll get benefit from having one, but might I suggest you think up what business you would love to have. If you did have a business, what business would it be? If you plan on having a business some day, then that too is good reason to go. The more you know before you start something, the better off you are... although, don't let a lack of knowledge be an excuse to not get started.
Hey Ori,
Thanks for responding. I am signed up to go, so we'll see how it shakes out. I imagine that I won't be the only person there who doesn't have their own business up and running when they attend. Having gone through several Peaks courses now, I have gotten conditioned not to succumb to Peaks' selling tactics, although this was how I was hooked into getting QL back in 2009. They may have eased off a bit on the hard sell recently though - at Never Work Again last December the lead trainer told us more than once to buy into someone vs. having them sell you on something. Quite different from how they were pitching before, and great advice.
May I be honest? I'll presume the answer is yes. I think that T. Harv's organization is very smart.... they know how to generate massive amounts of money. Their courses are great.... and I'm glad I spent money with them back in the day, 'cause it did end up introducing me to Armand Morin, which introduced me to internet marketing, and my current world... but... I"ve seen so many people get the Quantum, and spend thousands upon thousands for those CDs and workshops, and never actually do anything with it. It seemed that each course gives advice, and sells you more on the organization.... i.e. everyone should be a trainer, etc.... They use cult-tactics (many large seminars do) to get money out of people... there's a massive group of people, it's hard not to follow in the herd and race to the back and buy.... but outside of the workshops... are you putting your Quantum pack to use? IF you're thrilled with your life, and everything's going peachy-- awesome. Again, this is not an attack, and definitely not on you. I just seen so many people be seminar junkies--- spend all that $, but not do something with it. I'd bet you know more than enough right now to start a business- should you want to. And I still stand by my previous statement that I'm glad I went to GBS, and it was life changing.
Hi Ori,
Thanks for posting about your experience at GBS. Not too stoked about going at this point even though it's in my Quantum Leap package because I don't currently have a business and right now I'm not sure about going the entrepreneur route. They have probably changed some things of course since you went, but were folks who didn't have their own businesses there and how would you say the event may have differed for them? Thanks!
I gotta tell you... it was life changing. That's where I learned of Armand Morrin, and discovered internet marketing... which has been my life since. So... yeah, quality speakers, with quality content. Chet Holmes blew my mind. And yes, it's a pitchfest... but they have good content. It boils down to what action are you going to take-- not just the weekend o the event, but on a regular basis. If you implement what these giants teach you, you can rock it. I am not crazy about all of Harv's products, but GBS was top speakers- my friends and I were all impressed.
I am scheduled to go to the Bus Gur School in 2 weeks. I am a little apprehensive about the qty of days and the amt of hours. What can u tell me about the 4 days - is the content good all four days . Is the environment similar to the MMI 3 day course ? Thx

Hi Ori,
Thanks for posting about GBS. Although it's in my Quantum Leap program, I'm not too stoked that about going to it at this point since I don't currently have my own business. Right now I'm not sure if the entrepreneurial route is for me (at least full time), so I'm not sure if I will get value out of going. Did you run into people at the event who didn't have their own businesses and how would you feel that it may be for someone like me? Thanks!
