Vesna’s phone traditionally goes off all through the night. People text her always… well.. this time, apparently, it was her Alarm Clock. Cookie & I didn’t realize, so we didn’t wake her up… we just thought obnoxious people were trying to text her at 6am. We all grumbled at 7-something, trying to crawl out of bed, and get ready. Nick came over and gave us a ride thankfully, so we didn’t have to walk…which was the original plan. I rode, standing up, in the bed of his pick-up truck. That was a blast- had my camera around my neck, and music playing in my ears through my new Ipod Nano that I got free at the Big Seminar. At 1st I walked with Vesna to the graduate area…. then it looked like they were being placed (organized) in stables.. it didn’t look like there was room to sit, so after snapping a few shots, I went back to the family/guests area, and found the Macedonians. I sat next to Cookie, who sat next to Nick. We had a blast… we spoke of all sorts of things – including who’s smuggled what through customs and how (I brought 12 bottles of rum from Trinidad once, not realizing that you have to pay customs on more than 2 bottles… so I just walked right through the nothing to declare line… with boxes and boxes sitting right on top of my suitcase! ). The stories got a lot more detailed than that one… but we got pictures of Vesna, and kept texting her. All in all, it was a very fun event. We went to eat some Mexican food afterwards, and then drove to get Vesna’s new cat! It’s soooo cute! It’s a kitten. Being Cinco De Mayo, we made Margaritas, and they are playing monopoly as I work and blog. I have to study some copywriting, and work on my workshop…. so photos will come a little later!
