No one reads the small print when they install a program and the terms of service come up, or the numerous pages of a cell phone contract... I'm past this frustration with Gold's. I will never use them again. And, your'e right - I should've read all the fine print. I was taking the manager at his word, silly me. Your words of widom definitely still apply. No matter what the manager tells me, his words are not the contract. Wise words – I think this applies to a lot more than just Gold's Gym's memberships. I just spoke to a friend who used to work there, but now works at a nother facility-- Gold's pays 8% of some sales, 20% of some (usually the 8%)-- the gym where he works now pays 70% initial signup commission, and gives an amazing base salary, and benefits. I have a feeling I may start interviewing Ex-Gold's employees, about how much better each place is. A little bit of SEO magic, and voila-- the entire 1st page of Google will be people talking crap about Gold's :) Technically, it's not just a vendetta, but a public service announcement-- would you want your kid working where he/she gets no benefits, and makes meager money? They billed me for 7 months, after my contract was up. I don't know where they get the balls to bill you after your contract is up. There is nothing in the contract that says they will do this.
