No good deed goes unpunished!

F@$%# FU@#! FU$!%@#%!#$%! !!!!!!! As if I wasn’t already pissed off about having had a whole week of my time wasted, and having had to have driven far to waste that time…. I pulled into Chicago, hung out with Couch 42 for a tiny bit, she bought some bodypaint, and tested out a portion on her face. I said “since you have that on, let’s shoot something with it!” and of course Krysta was down for that…. except my camera doesn’t work! Dan had messed up his camera somehow when I was over there. He was in the middle of a paid shoot, and I wasn’t even supposed to be at the studio still… but I was… lucky for him… so I lent him my camera. Now my camera has the same symptoms. I’ve been on the phone with every repair shop, and they all say I have to either sent it in, or have it sent in for me. I don’t have an address! I don’t want to send it in! I think I’m going to drive to New Jersey and walk it in to the repair shop. So… Dan got paid on his shoot (rather than having to cancel it, and not be able to reschedule until his camera’s fixed), because I lent him my camera, and now it’s going to cost me a minimum of 10 hours of driving (each way) - so.. that’s $200 in gas, and whatever the repair bill is on the camera. No one said that life is fair… but I expect to be compensated for at least a portion of that, if not the whole thing… and now I ‘m going to have to be that prick that says “Sorry… I don’t let anyone use my camera. No, I don’t care if you’ve been a photographer for 20 years!”

Hang in there…I’m sure you’ll find some purpose in New Jersey, maybe something you didn’t expect! Go gamble in Atlantic City or something. :) - Cari B.

I got sick of losing sleep due to GoDaddy's glitches, and crappy billing... I moved to BlueHost, and am happy! Awesome service, unlimited account hosting, and I'd love to see you use up all the bandwidth they give you for $6.50/month!
