A night of Stupid Creatures

I had started the day in a fun way…. going to Ground Industries. I was thrilled to see those guys. They are so cool. I gave them back their mountain board. I was offered it to take around the country, but I think I rather not sustain THAT many injuries, so I passed on the gear. I got dressed, packed my car up, and Isabella (Couch 36’s daughter) asks where I’m going. I said, to the office, and then ….. then I’m on to other places. This 2 year old says to me “On adventure?” I looked shocked, and replied, “yes, that’s exactly it!” I did not know that 2 year old’s knew that term, Adventure. I said to Mercedes, “Your daughter knows the word adventure!” “Yes, I know. She asked why you didn’t come back home last time, and we told her that when you’re not here, you’re on adventure.” That’s so frigging cool! Not only am I hearing from lots of people that they read my blog, but now a 2 year old has learned the word “Adventure” because of me!
I went to GI, and I shipped off my lights. I drank lots of Red Bull, I helped Matt Barker on some computer issues, and then I took off to Couch 39’s place in Asheville, NC. A beautiful drive as always. It was a tad bit rainy, but that didn’t bug me. I got to John’s studio, and set up my laptop. I studied some 3d, processed the pics from Couch 33/34 - posted in the last post- and worked for a bit… then John was hungry, and we went for Mexican. I wish I had my camera with me, as they had a Pinata, and I looked inside, and saw that while it had been empty, someone missed something… so .. I shoved my hand up this (pinata) donkey’s ass, and got these 2 tops. I proceeded to order a Buffallo Fajita Burrito, along with Horchata, and an entire pitcher of frozen Margarita, to celebrate. I am celebrating a proposed business that John and I are working on together.

We spent the rest of the evening filming a quick how-to video on how to make your own stupid creature. Couch 25 called me to tell me he got engaged, and that he got his motorcycle license. I was thrilled on both accounts…. he’s an awesome guy. He’s a friend of my brother’s, and I’ve done some projects with his parents. They are funny, and very nice. I like that whole family. I’m glad he got engaged… I met his girlfriend… er.. fiancee when I was in Orlando, couch surfing. She is very sweet, and she is quite gorgeous! Go Dave!

I turned my phone off after that though, so I could film without interruption. We went to Target beforehand so I could get some DV tapes… I also picked up some new sports ear phones, as I ran my last pair to the ground…. they were totally worn out, and I needed a new set. Target has everything! I even saw some very nice synthesizers, and a few guitars there– accoustic, electric, and semi-accoustic, complete with effects pedals!

When we left the studio, I checked my voicemail. I forgot that the day before, when I had entered Greenville, SC, I had left a voicemail for Tracy. Tracy is the girl that was supposed to be Couch 32. I was looking forward to it, as she had been sending me amazing images over MySpace for the longest time. Heck… just going to her profile is inspiring, as her and her friends trade amazing images. She had stood me up though last time I got into South Carolina. I was not mad in the least… I was quite glad, as because she stood me up, I had made that SOS call/e-mail blast that got me to that All Girl’s College, and had gotten me the referral to Couch 35-37…. which I am definitely glad I met. Through them I got my mountain boarding lessons, my butt pads, my trip to Hillbilly Family Reunion (and the great pics that went with that), as well as the Evil Keg premiere, and of course, paid projects worth gas for the next few months, some great friends, Nascar trip, and because of the 3d projects, inspiration to work on my own artistic images again… Anyways… I had a message from Tracy. She apologized for last time, and said a friend had their b-day, and they got into a car accident, and that’s why I didn’t hear from her. It was already late though, so I didn’t call her back.. will do that tomorrow.

Upon returning to Couch 39’s home , I Was going to go through more photos, or edit the video… but… instead I got a call from Mysterious Guest. I wasn’t sure if I should even take the call. She had after all blown me off in Atlanta. I had been looking forward to the weekend on the lake-house with her, and that didn’t happen. She didn’t return my calls, she didn’t go with me to Andretti’s, she just blew me off. She called to apologize. She said she had kept reading my blog — so she’s reading this… sorry toots… it’s called responsibility, you interact with me, it goes here… you can have your anonymity, but when the closest thing I have to romance on my trip blows me off.. it’s blog-worthy… like I said, responsibility, you do something, you deal with the consequences - -and that I left a great impression, but that she had her reasons, and didn’t want to call me till after I left town.

I was kind of angry. I mean… crap, if you don’t want to see me, or talk to me, tell me… let me know what I did, or that I shouldn’t expect to hear from you. Well… regardless, we stayed on the phone for a while. She is entertaining, and I like her friend Amy, who was there on the phone. Amy is smart, and even took my side, on the “not calling Ori is a crappy thing to do”. So.. mysterious stranger pointed out that no one really leaves comments on my blog… so… y’all leave comments. Skizzy leaves comments, and she noted that. She said that I can couch surf there next time, and not to blow her off just ’cause she did me. I said I Can’t make plans that far in advance, and I won’t even be in Atlanta until 2008, and even then it’s questionable as for how long I’ll be there. She said, “Well.. what if someone meets you somewhere you’re going?” Well I’m sure that’d be sweet, but again.. I can’t plan that far ahead. What do y’all think? Should I meet her out somewhere?

Anyways- I really was going to go to sleep after that, but decided to catch up on my blogging a tiny bit. Y’all have no idea how long this takes, to keep up with the blog… and now I’m trying to add photos to it, since that’s what the people want. I hope y’all are enjoying my entries… please leave comments.

I got sick of losing sleep due to GoDaddy's glitches, and crappy billing... I moved to BlueHost, and am happy! Awesome service, unlimited account hosting, and I'd love to see you use up all the bandwidth they give you for $6.50/month!
