Well.. I said I discovered that I really like open mic nights, simple not overly-produced displays of talent…. drawing, singing, dancing, etc… Here’s a quick list of things I knew about me, but had confirmed, and other things I discovered… on this trip.
1)I love meeting new people… especially the kind that talk
2)I love to tell jokes, and funny stories. Traveling to new places where people haven’t heard my jokes is fun… I get to tell the jokes– therefore practice them, therefore get really good at telling them.
3)I love adventure! How do I define adventure? Things that are out of the ordinary, that often hold a big risk of injury or death. Jumping off of things, mountain boarding, flying, funneling booze through a jet-fuel funnel Exploring areas I can get lost in.
4)I love nature! Especially large bodies of water.
5)I like fire. I’m not a pyromaniac… but I do love bon fires.
6)I’ve gotten over the “I’m so great… look at my photos” phase, and while people love my pics, I much enjoy seeing other people’s talents. I love giving credit where credit is due– Wow! Great joke! Wow! You dance amazingly, and I couldn’t take my eyes off! Wow! I can’t believe that jump you did off that platform- that was just sick!
7)I really enjoy collaborating with people.
8)I thoroughly enjoy marketing!
9)I don’t hate veggies as much as I thought I did.
10) I love a good challenge, and actually enjoy being persistent.. i.,e. this whole guitar thing. Without persistence, you can’t get good enough to see how much you’ve improved in something.
11)After telling my stORIes over and over (I’m asked about them all the time), I’ve gotten much better at asking about other people. I’m a much better listener now because I had to do so much speaking.
