Yeah! I was having my coffee this morning that someone brought to the office, when Matt hands it to me, along with a bag of crystals, and some sugar packets and a creamer. There was really only one sugar packet, which wasn’t enough, so I poured out the ones from the bag into the coffee, and it turns out to be salt! Ack! Oh well… I always say I gauge a good day by the # of funny stories I get. That was definitely one.

So… thanks for the calls and e-mails everyone! I can’t believe how people actually notice when I don’t blog for a day or 2! So… here’s the latest update! (And it was all set in action because of how things work in the universe)

So.. I got to South Carolina, and Tracy did not get her phone.. she was supposed to be couch 32, and despite all the voicemails, I still have not heard from her. I thought I was stranded, so had sent out many e-mails / bulletins / voicemails / calls / texts, asking who knows who in South Carolina. I didn’t get many real replies that night, but Sadie had called me up. You can read about that in my stranded post. While hanging with Sadie and friends, I had received a “I miss you! Wish you were here” text from Amanda. The next morning, I had an email from her roommate saying that if I’m stranded, I should go visit Amanda in Charlotte, NC. Apparently, I got there just at the right time… when things were rough, and when her psycho landlord/roommate had tried to kick her (and me) out. We went to Rob’s place, camped out there (quite literally for me), and once Amanda had settled in, I had taken off to South Carolina again– again, based on the e-mails I received after Wednesday’s SOS “I’m stranded” efforts. A very good friend of mine, Jaysen, is very talented, extremely smart, and an amazing cook. He’s one of the few people who’s opinions I respect. He is also a DJ, and his music saved my life one time. I was at this club, talking to my friend Jessica, and I Saw that Jaysen was playing. I went to his DJ booth to say hello… heard a crash… but couldn’t figure out what the noise was. At 4am, I found out that Jessica (Couch 6) had gotten hit by a car that had driven through the wooden fence… right where I was standing! She had injured her leg… but the spot where I was standing… not so good. *phew*

Anyways- back to this! So.. Jaysen had given me his girlfriend’s cousin’s name / #. Apparently, he makes Mountainboards. They’re like skateboards, but bigger, with off-road wheels, and a suspension… you can even use them with a kite to haul ass and do tricks on any terrain. The company is called Ground Industries, and it’s a pretty cool group of people that run it. They are industry leaders, and because of this are also having a Disney movie made, featuring their boards. I’ve been having a blast with these guys. They even have a beer cooler with wheels that I drove around on! I’ve been practicing my guitar a little bit. I’ve been privvy to a lot of cool stuff that they are working on. One of those things is 3d virtual walkthroughs. They had some guy working on it for 2 months, and their meeting was about to approach. They were pretty stressed out, as the guy had not delivered much. He moves way too slow, and upon meeting him (I hate to say it, but I have my reasons, and eye-witnesses that I”m right),I think he may have been a bit “slow”. Upon seeing my industry experience and knowledge, they had me take over the project, after being there for just a day. In one day, I had made a better project than this guy had in 2 months. I stayed and worked all night, literally till 11:30am. I’m still working on the project- it will provide some gas money, to say the least. I’ll post it to you guys too!

That’s the latest though! I’ve been in SC, hanging out with some really awesome people. I am supposed to be going to some Nascar race this weekend, and hanging out in the Redbull VIP section. I hear that’s pretty exclusive. Let me know if you’re going Nascar’ing this weekend.
