ok…. I already mentioned that my hand was in extreme pain on Saturday / Sunday, and Carlos did some Reiki energy healing on it. Some say, “Well, that crap doesn’t work” — I say, my hand is (almost) back to normal, pretty damn quickly… so, I attribute it (as well as some rest). So… thank you Carlos! I feel great! It doesn’t hurt, unless I press it at certain angles. Anyways— there’s more to the story than that. We were out at dinner one night, and speaking of our businesses (remember- this is at a business seminar), and Carlos mentions his debate with integrating his Reiki Healing and his regular job.

Sure enough, I quickly heard from Cari! I haven’t spoken to her in like 5 or 6 years! When I was a pudgy little kid with no confidence (in highschool), she was one of my few friends, and her folks were (are) really sweet, and we used to go volunteer at the elementary school to tutor little kids in math (I liked the cookies!), and her dad would give us a ride back in his totally amazing original Corvette Stingray…. she’d show me a little bit of how to play the guitar (Cari’s got mad skills), and she’s got big boobs (not that I ever saw them, but back then that kind of stuff mattered a lot more to me than it does these days)…. So…. yea! I was totally excited to get to be in touch with my old friend again!

Turns out that Carlos did a great job…. he pulled the whole homeless thing off without a hitch…. she was trying to think who she knew that was homeless…. especially in Orlando… she thought it was maybe one of those ex-boyfriends from high-school that were in a band :p - THEN he hands her my card. So… of course, Cari & I have to meet. She had asked about this bar on Wednesday, but I was busy. So I asked about next wednesday (Wednesday’s the day they usually go to this bar), and she said she won’t be at the bar, ’cause she’s running a 5K. So… I’m going to go to run the 5k too! I haven’t run a 5k since my very 1st one in October of last year. I haven’t really done much running since then either! I brought my shoes on my trip… but it’s easy to get lazy… so… I ran 7 miles the other day (ran / walked… ugh) … and I’m off to do it again now, since it’s 5:45am, and I want to get started on my work.
