Today I sat around and worked on Cari’s site– until it was time to go do the shoot. The shoot’ee (model) was Anastacia . The shoot was to thank her for being the volunteer model for my Saturday workshop. The location was donated by one of my students, who later became Couch #18. As a thank you to Mike (couch #18), I brought him with, and gave him private consulting / teaching. So, while the model was prepping herself, I was explaining more efficient use of his camera, which lenses to use when, and why… in order to improve quality. Mike got instant improvement, before Anastacia was even ready.
We went to the hills, and shot… There was even a wild couch (more like a discarded couch)! I was explaining everything, the whole time. I have a feeling that this had something to do with me losing my voice. I explained posing, lenses, angles, flashes, reflectors, sky, composition, and a few other things.
One should always be ready to snap a picture! You never know what’s going to pass by–

and again… on the drive to Nick’s (I was on the phone, when this pulled up to me, as the light turned green for me to turn left)

After the shoot, I headed back to Nick’s, and was taking pictures of this Siamese Cat that I ran into that morning. Did I mention that animals and I get along splendidly? After that, I shot his daughter, Cadence. She is so adorable, and has such a big heart.
use your left/right arrow keys to control this, or just sit back and enjoy the show
At night, I worked on my seminar, and on Cari’s site… I took a break to practice some guitar, as Nick had given me another lesson or 2… It appears I got my 1st groupie!
