So… I’m trying this other video hosting service. It’s called Revver. Supposedly the quality is higher than on Live Video. I saw it on this awesome thing called Hitch50 - these 2 guys who hitchhiked across all 50 states in 50 days! How cool is that??
Anyways- There’s tons of content on Revver.com - I was watching a Ninja answer questions on dating, then I watched a talking cat, then I watched this guy talk about PETA suing Amazon because they have 2 publications on Cock Fighting…. and yes, he used every single innuendo about it… pretty damn funny! Then I realized that I’m busy working my ass off, and I don’t really have time to sit around and be entertained (You’d think that going around the country, couchsurfing would be all fun and games… but you’d be wrong… I actually spend most my time working on this site). I set up an account… here’s how it works. Revver plays your video, without the annoying clips playing at the end, without a menu that overlaps your video to show other clips WHILE your video’s playing, and then at the end of your video, they play a very subtle ad that people can click on. It’s pretty impressive (the quality, and how non-annoying their ads are). If people click on the ad, you get paid some. If lots of people click on the ad, you can supposedly make lots of money. Money is nice, but I’m using mainly because of the higher quality! If you are saying to yourself “yeah right… that cheap bastard… selling out like that!” then you’d be wrong– just look below (and make sure to click on the ad at the end of the revver clip
). I will be using Revver exclusively from now on– until I have a reason to use something else. The amazing thing is, that they give you the embedding code in any format you want! Flash / Quicktime / Java / and more! I’m very impressed with how helpful their site is.
LiveVideo
Revver
I uploaded the EXACT same file to both services…. LiveVideo doesn’t even use the very 1st frame as the still image ![]()

Does live video have a revenue sharing program like revver?
