We started the day off realllllly early. I was so tired. It was that early, so that we could make it to the Firestation to shoot Delilah’s kids. They’re very small and cute. 4 & 5 years old. We shot at the Fire House, and then had breakfast with Sean - D’s firefighter friend.
Afterwards, we went to the park and shot there. This was just fun kid stuff- swings, slides, bouncing horsie thingies, and squirrels. I had Delilah take a few pics of me and the girls on the Merry Go Round… I was showing off… doing handstands, and showing them how to properly jump out of a moving vehicle (using the Merry-go-round as the sample vehicle of course). That should be a funny video clip.. I was being a goof.
After a little while, it started to drizzle, so we walked under the canopy that was there, and *poof* the sky opened up… water was pouring so hard, it was generating a steady percussion on the roof. We hung out for a bit, and when it stopped, we took off and went to Chick Fill-A. I’ve had a long time love for that food, as when I was growing up as a mall-rat (my folks owned a food place in the mall, so I’d often go with them), I befriended George- the owner of that mall’s Chick Filll-A - and he always gave me all the Chick Fill-A I could eat, for free! That store is also interesting, in that it does fairly well, but is closed on Sundays.
After eating, it was time to pack. Then I drove to Tampa to visit my cousin Jonathan. One stop was this pier “North fishing pier” or something like that. The sun was setting, so i took sunset pics (birds flying, a fisherman fishing in the water), and then proceeded to Jonathan’s place. I stayed in my car and worked, then on his front porch and worked until he got home. We went out for beer & Wings, and watched UF beat Ohio. Jonathan is extremely smart, and was very curious about my trip. We enjoyed our wings and conversation, and then took off. Since he can play every instrument, he recorded a little Couch-Surfing Ori Themesong / folk-song.
The CouchSurfingOri theme song was an adventure in itself…. I videotaped Jonathan as he explained how he uses majors or minor to establish a song’s mood…. I then tried to look up words that rhyme with “Ori” - my favorite was Chicken Catchitori” then there was “Manditory” “Obligatory” “Teritory” but not too many more…. a lot of the words just seemed to be a letter in front of my name.
Jonathan mentioned that I should go on the Jay Leno show, and as always, when Jonathan said it, it sounded more logical than when others have. I have since tried to “submit a guest” from the Jay Leno web page… they have the form go to a bad e-mail address. Wah!
REMEMBER - I’m updating the site…. song / video, etc.. will be up soon.
