YAY!!!!! I FINALLY GOT TO PLAY WITH MY BRAND NEW Canon 180mm F3.5 with Macro lens!!! Oh my god, it is sooooooooo damn cool! Well, on its own, it’s just cool… a good lens indeed… but………. It is AWESOME because it has a large enough base to where I can use it with my Doubler!!! So, I now have a 360mm F7.1 I can shoot the nose hairs on a lizard!! This little spider is the size of a gnat!

I called Cari - whom I know from Myspace, and whom I think is totally an amazing human, and who was supposed to be Couch #1, but was going to NYC for New Year’s, so I rescheduled - to confirm that we’re on for the next day ’cause I’m Couch-Surfing with Doug that day. She was cool with it.. especially since the day before they got back from NYC and the guy who was house-sitting the cat had had a nose-job recently, and could not smell… did not know the cat had took a massive shit in the bath-tub for the entire last week, and the place reeked. Thankfully, that extra day gave plenty of time to air the place out. I called Doug- he flaked out and cancelled on me, but then tried to talk me into coming over the next day- or day after. That wasn’t going to happen, regardless of what a nice guy Doug is… I had to be in Texas by the 12th. So, I called Nicole “here’s your chance to take me on that date” she seemed interested, but had never called me back that evening as she said she would. Staci said it was ’cause Nicole’s brother was coming into town (as Nicole had told me he was), but had come in late. Wah. Thankfully, Staci and I got along splendidly, and she let me crash over at her place again.

We ended up going to to Staci’s friend Tara’s, brought wings, pizza, and Coldstone Ice cream. Tara smoked me out, and we watched all these funny shows… Beauty and the Geek, and MTV’s exposed. Somehow Mushrooms came up. She said she could score some.She also told me a new joke that I didn’t know:

“How do you get a 300 pound girl into a size 2 bikini?” “Take the F out of Fat, what do you have?” “At” “very good… now take the F out of Way” “There is no F in Way” “Exactly!” *chuckle*

During the day, the Doctor’s office called me regarding my blood test. I was working so hard on my launch party, that when I had a blood test for a physical, my Dr. was very concerned that I have some thyroid disease… that’s what happens when you go take your blood test on 40 minutes of sleep + Caffeine pills. I did not think I had anything, so I didn’t freak out… I just took another blood test with a tiny bit more sleep.
That worked out well, as the tests came out fine now. Nothing makes people sicker than worrying about how sick they might be. It’s a good thing I didn’t care about the Doctor’s concern. Free tip- get some sleep, and don’t eat caffeine pills, before you get a blood test!
