The day before launch.

I am not ready… I was up extremely late, working on some Motion Graphics (Insert Stacy Animation) - but tick-tock… I have to be packed up today. My girlfriend Melissa has helped me pack. Half my suitcase is filled with my Telescope. I never used, and last time I went to California, I wished I had brought it. This time, I brought it, and didn’t end up using it.

I have a photoshoot to be ready for. I asked a close associate of mine (ONYX PHOTOGRAPHY) to take photos for me to use on business card and promotional material. George has shot me before.

Before showing up at his place, I stopped by OneModelPlace’s world headquarters, and borrowed a 100-400mm Canon lens for my shoot. We discussed the shoot while waiting for Rory to show up. I’ve shot with her before. She is talented and highly highly reliable (Rory has shown up at 6am with less than 24 hours notice- on numerous occasions! Her rates are extremely competitive). I’ve referred her to many clients before for photo and video work. Rory did a wonderful job on my face which was breaking out from lack of sleep (Insert before / after). We shot a selection of pictures With Camera, and a selection without. I had gone to lunch with Dan Beyer who is the brilliant marketing guy that helped me come up with the CouchSurfingUSA concept (yes, it’s CouchSurfingOri – but initially, it was CouchSurfingUSA).

It was then off to my place to make a comp card for Jillian Brooke , which I actually made into a tutorial video on how to make comp cards. (to be posted soon). Once I designed Jillian’s cards, and my business cards, I drove to One Model Place to use the print shop that I used to run. They had In-The-Click which is their monthly networking and shooting event. Being a pro, I got pulled aside to participate in a focus group on the new site features. I was there to print my cards, and give Jillian hers, but everyone liked CouchSurfingUSA… thus was born my very 1st video interview about this

I got sick of losing sleep due to GoDaddy's glitches, and crappy billing... I moved to BlueHost, and am happy! Awesome service, unlimited account hosting, and I'd love to see you use up all the bandwidth they give you for $6.50/month!
