What to do if you don’t have plates or bowls to make soup in? Use glass cups of course, as they are microwave safe. .. What if they don’t fit in the microwave? Watch this, and have a laugh ![]()
Many more crazy moments from this trip…. editing it now!
My friend Michael Lovitch has Poker Night every Tuesday. I’ve wanted to make it to this for a very long time. I finally got to attend. They also have “Night rider Sundays” which I’ll have to come back another time for.
Night rider Sundays are a bicycle bar-hopping event. I don’t drink much (these days… when I’m not at events. When at events, I let loose), but that sounds like a blast. I did drink this evening.
I didn’t know it, but Michael and I were not allowed to be back at the house before 2AM. His daughter takes after him in his night owl tendencies. I have the same tendencies, and while Michael likes to joke around about everything, he takes the “5 year olds need to get their sleep” subject very seriously.
I’m on paragraph 4, and I still haven’t mentioned that I don’t really know how to play poker! Ooops. So here’s what happened: Read the rest of this entry »
If you want to meet up in Dallas, contact me. There’s a place that has all you can eat sushi, all you can drink sake… that should be a good place.
There’s also many Fun things to do in Dallas that I’d like to check out. Many are free, or close to it! Wanna go?
Why am I going to Dallas? One reason is to keep traveling. Another reason is because Couch 23 is having his first gallery exhibit, and I’m going to show my support. Another one of my couches that I’ve surfed has his Tuesday night poker nights, and I’ve always missed those. So, that’s getting done TODAY!
Exploring the Fun things to do in Dallas will be fun too!
Oh yeah! There may be some crotch rocket riding, and definitely some motorcycle photography. Let’s hope for some awesome weather. It’s been a long time since I rode a street-bike. Used to have a Honda CBR 600 F2. It was a beautiful bike!
I got shot in the leg one time with a paintball gun, while driving 110 mph. That sucked. It was a fun bike, it was fun to ride. That was in 2001 that it got stolen. So, maybe there’ll be some riding this week

Many people are often baffled by “What exactly is it Ori does?” and “How the heck does Ori pay for his journey?” – while these things are written in my book… my book isn’t out yet
I can tell you a bunch of things that I do, but I’ll use someone else’s words. Elizabeth Potts Weinstein wrote this after a short while of consulting with me:
“Ori is brilliant in so many things – photography, graphic design, web design, business strategizing, personal coaching, marketing – but those are just the tools he uses to express his creativity, to solve problems, to do what he really does … which is to pull the unique brand out from inside of you and give you the tools you need to express that brand to the world.
And I’m not talking about *thinking* your way into a brand that you “should” be or a brand you “wish” you could be … here I’m talking about a brand that is the expression of your personality, the uniqueness that you already are. Bringing together all your seemingly disparate passions into sync, figuring out the nexus that pulls everything together!”
I like that description. Everyone says it’s accurate. So, yes, I can do Read the rest of this entry »
Couchsurfing Radio Episode 5- Peter Shankman on life, PR, skydiving, humor, flying, and more
Couchsurfing Radio Episodes, Information, Inspiration, Interviews, Marketing Lessons, business, couchsurfing radio, humor, product review CommentsWant free advertising? Want more credibility than you get out of an ad? You need to listen to Peter Shankman’s interview.
I frequently refer to Peter Shankman as a roll model, ’cause he’s a spaz, funny, adventurous, and successful. Last night’s call was haunting, because it showed that there were a lot more similarities (even the listeners were commenting on that). We also spoke about many other topics, such as bucket lists, skydiving, flying all over the world, and much more. Have a listen:

I guess I'm also an interior designer
When a good friend came home from a great time in Vegas, to the negative energy of a breakup, he got in a funk. I came up with an idea! Let’s rearrange the place, and change the energy!
I wasn’t asking, and my energy caught on quickly. Within minutes we had a plan:
The master bedroom would be the new office.
The old office would now be my room.
The room that was mine will now get the kingsize bed from the master bedroom.
We quickly disassembled the large furniture, moving it, and quickly the plan took shape. The entire energy of the house was changing!

Just when I think “Gosh.. I gotta really work my brain to come up with something to blog about today,” scammer Dominic Holland from Viralee sends me a legal threat. I shall share it, and of course provide feedback… in RED! ’cause that’s what they do in the American school system to ruin kids’ dreams and hopes, and I want to crush Dominic Holland’s hopes of scamming people. And now… the letter: Read the rest of this entry »

“Ori is the first photographer to get pictures of me that actually look like me. #onereasonheisawesome” Elizabeth Potts Weinstein wrote this after seeing the first photo I sent her from our weekend’s shoot.
I had promised her that I would give her a different look. Maybe I’m a photo elitist, but I thought her old photos were pretty generic, and certainly did not capture her personality.
The outfits were corporate (turns out she didn’t even own a tshirt, and hasn’t worn one in about 10 years), the smiles seemed fake. These photos did not say to me “I am adventurous, like to enjoy life, and even used to go spelunking!”
When I found out that EPW didn’t even own a tshirt, I immediately made sure that all our shots were in tshirts…. which led to an interesting phenomenon… Elizabeth actually had an awkward moment… she has not worn a tshirt in so long, that it felt alien to her. She even looked different.
Once we got past outfits, I rummaged through my stuff… what would be different than corporate looking pics? How about swords, helmets, skateboards, vodka, and wearing silly hats? Oh yeah, let’s not forget Ziplining. Read the rest of this entry »
As a business owner, or just someone trying to get a message out, you recognize that there’s a benefit to having large amounts of Facebook Fans. Scammer Dominic Holland of Viralee realizes that you think that, and is willing to steal your money.
I study what a lot of the marketers are doing. I use some of these things for myself, and many of these strategies work for my clients as well. If you have a business, and need more traffic, then getting more fans is a good way of dong it. Facebook allows you to buy targeted ads that will get you fans (good ad design, writing good copy, using the right images… all still necessary), but Viralee actually claims to sell you the actual fans… not just an ad to bring them over.
I tried them out at $99 (They’ve raised their price to $117 this week), which was supposed to get me 1,000 new fans on Facebook. The blog post I read about the Viralee scammers (back when it was unknown that they were scammers) said that they get the results within 5 days. I got nothing within a week, so I wrote the main scammer, Dominic, to see what’s up.
Dominic replied: Read the rest of this entry »
“Book of Eli looks awesome!” – that’s a random text I got from Craig. Response “Was it something you found while cleaning your bookshelves? or is it a movie or something?” — for once, I was not near the internet, so I couldn’t look it up, as that is a total “Let me google that for you” question. Turns out it’s an action movie… one with great action, and something I have to warn you about…. Read the rest of this entry »
